Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Effort Underway

The Ravelry group, Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief, was established earlier this month to encourage knitters and crocheters (or tailors) to put their talents to use for others. The online community quickly began buzzing with forum posts describing how the Hurricane left its imprint on so many lives. Many uplifting remarks offered encouragement to help out New Jersey residents in need.

There have been several parcels delivered containing beautiful hand made gifts for sorting and distributing to three New Jersey relief organizations. The organizations are located in the Jersey Shore region, Hoboken and my hometown of Jersey City.

Take a look at some of the wonderful items made by generous donors from around the USA:

Together we can make a difference to bring practical warmth and encouragement to those in need!
